The roaring dozen: Roestvast Staal Aktueel, the Dutch sister newspaper to
Edelstahl Aktuell, and Paul Meijering Metalen invited anyone interested to
go on a motorbike
tour – and twelve bikers took him up on idea. Conclusion: the next tour
has already been planned.
The first part of the trip wasn’t for anyone who
didn’t like getting wet. Between Zaltbommel and the German border it rained
continuously
but of course
things that don’t bother real bikers …
The group dried out and – most of all – took care of the inner
man (and woman) in a lunch break at the German KCI office in Kleve. Over coffee,
filled bread rolls and sunshine they discussed the tour and talked shop about
their common hobby. Photos of the tour can be found on the website.
On the return trip the weather was mercifully fine and the convoy arrived
back in Zaltbommel as dry as a bone.
